The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of everything, making it easy to explore the city. the traditional house had a cozy and warm atmosphere, giving us a truly authentic experience.

The shower facilities were quite basic and lacked a heater, which was a bit uncomfortable during the cold weather. the steep stairs leading up to the bedroom could be problematic for elderly guests.

We were blown away by the incredible traditional house and the stunning view of the river. The location in the old area was perfect and allowed us to explore Takayama with ease. We especially enjoyed the nearby onsen for a truly relaxing experience. The cherry on top was being collected from the train station and shown around town by a friendly and knowledgeable staff member who spoke excellent English. we had a once in a lifetime experience at Iori Stay in Takayama and would highly recommend it to others.

We had the privilege of staying in a beautiful traditional Japanese townhouse called "The Hideaway," which provided us with an authentic and unique experience. The house was spacious and well-equipped, with a cozy living room and comfortable beds for all of us. The highlight for our family was the private courtyard garden, where we enjoyed peaceful moments together, surrounded by the beauty of nature. It truly felt like our own little oasis in the heart of Takayama.

The house itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the river. We really appreciated the housekeeping service and the thoughtful touches like fresh towels and bed sheets. we would highly recommend Iori Stay to our friends and family and would definitely choose to stay there again on our next visit to Takayama.
